They really are losing it over there at CNN. While Fareed Zakaria just completely went off the rails with a profanity-laced rant about President Donald Trump, another host suggested Americans can show solidarity with Muslim by wearing hijabs.
The bizarre suggestion came after a segment on Islamophobia at the liberal news network. According to Washington Times:
“New Day” with Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota featured a piece titled “The Trump transition: Fearful Muslim women take steps to be safe” just hours before Abdul Razak Ali Artan, 20, attempted to use a vehicle and a butcher knife to kill Ohio State University students. The ill-timed story ended with Ms. Camerota discussing ways to ease the fears of Muslim Americans.
“Maybe there will be a movement where people wear the head scarf in solidarity. You know, even if you’re not Muslim,” Ms. Camerota said, The Daily Caller reported Tuesday. “Maybe it’s the way people shave their heads, you know, sometimes in solidarity with somebody who is going through something.”
The irony of the “fearful Muslim woman” in light of Trump’s election can only be lost on leftists. While donning their oh-so-fashionable new hijab, should American women also abide by other tenets of Sharia Law, such as losing their ability to drive, go out in public without a male relative, or be stoned if they have the misfortune to be raped? If Muslim woman want to feel “safe,” perhaps they should give up their oppressive and misogynistic religion. Oh wait…the penalty for doing that could be an honor killing carried out by their father.
