The religion of peace is at it again in one of their favorite cities in which to strike – Paris, France.
This time, however, the two shooters have targeted law enforcement officers in coordinated attacks, including one involving a police car and a shooter in his own vehicle at a stop light. In that attack, the jihadist shot and killed the police officer in his patrol car at point-blank range.
Central Paris remains on lock-down Thursday night (April 20) after the attacks. One terrorist is dead and one is still at large, according to multiple reports.
A second police officer was also shot and wounded by another assailant.
According to Fox News, one of the attackers was known to the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Paris police warned people to avoid the area, as did the U.S. State Department in a cell phone alert to American citizens present in the city, reports Jewish Press.
The attack came just three days before the nation’s general elections, and because the presidential campaign has been so divisive, French security personnel were already in a heightened state of alert.
France has been under a general alert for months in the wake of the November 2015 Paris terrorist attacks.
Of course, Paris police told reporters “This may have been a terrorist incident” but were still unwilling to definitively call it a terrorist event. But we all know the truth.
